00 Align · Practice support

Align your practice.

Align takes on the administration and coordination of your ADHD referrals. A registered nurse gathers history, obtains records and collateral, administers questionnaires and coordinates referrals and investigations, then provides an organised summary. Your practice carries less administrative work, and your time is spent on clinical work.

The administrative work can be handled for every ADHD referral
Intake, history, collateral and records, questionnaires, and the coordination of referrals and investigations.
No cost to your practice
Align's service is paid for directly by the patient. You bill as you always have, and Align takes no share of your fee.
01 What we handle

The administration and coordination, handled for you.

For each referral, a registered nurse completes the administrative and coordination work that does not require a specialist, and that otherwise falls to you and your staff. For an adult ADHD referral, that includes:

Adult ADHD referral
Handled by a registered nurse
01
Collect psychiatric, developmental and medical history
02
Obtain collateral from family or carers
03
Record drug and alcohol history
04
Administer and score validated questionnaires
05
Review and summarise school reports
06
Co-ordinate GP referral, examination and investigations, including ECG and bloods where indicated

This is administration and coordination only. The clinical assessment, the diagnosis and every clinical decision remain entirely with the treating clinician.

02 Your practice

Less administration, more clinical time.

With the coordination handled in advance, your practice carries less administrative load and patients can be seen sooner.

A typical ADHD referral
Without Align
  • Intake and history-taking sit inside the consultation
  • Your practice chases records, collateral and school reports
  • Questionnaires are sent, returned and scored by your staff
  • ECG and bloods are arranged after the first appointment
  • The background arrives piecemeal, file by file
The same referral
With Align
  • History and questionnaires completed and scored in advance
  • Records, collateral and school reports obtained and summarised
  • GP referral, ECG and bloods coordinated where indicated
  • An organised summary in your inbox before the consultation
  • Your time goes to high-value clinical work

Align does not change the thoroughness of your assessment, your fees, or the item numbers you bill, and it takes no share of your fee. Align's service is paid for directly by the patient.

03 The registered nurse

An experienced registered nurse, working to an agreed scope.

The administration and coordination is carried out by an experienced registered nurse: gathering history, obtaining records and collateral, administering questionnaires and coordinating referrals and investigations, to a scope agreed in advance with the treating clinicians.

Governance

The nurse works to a documented scope under clinical governance. Align provides administration and coordination support only; it does not assess, diagnose or make clinical decisions. Patient information is handled in line with Australian health-privacy obligations.

04 The workflow

How Align works.

No additional software or staff, and no change to how you practise. Align coordinates referrals and provides an organised summary.

01

Set your intake criteria

You specify the presentations you accept, your criteria and your fees, and decide who you take and on what basis.

02

Align handles the administration

A registered nurse completes intake, gathers history and records, and coordinates referrals and investigations, then provides an organised summary before the consultation.

03

You assess and bill independently

You conduct the assessment, reach the diagnosis, plan and prescribe, then bill under your own provider number at your own rate. Align does not bill Medicare.

05 Common questions

What psychiatrists ask us.

Q1

What does it cost my practice?

Nothing. Align's service is paid for directly by the patient. You set your own fees, bill under your own provider number, and Align takes no share of your fee.

Q2

Who controls the intake?

You do. You specify the presentations you accept, your criteria and your fees. Align works to your requirements, not the other way around.

Q3

Can I rely on the summary?

That is your judgement to make, as with any source of information. The summary informs your assessment and never substitutes for it: you remain free to repeat, supplement or set aside any part of it.

Q4

What is the commitment?

None. Listing is on a flat-fee basis, with no minimum volume and no notice period. You may adjust your intake or withdraw at any time.

Judge it on a sample summary.
